The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of August 2020 stood at 67.8. The corresponding figure for August 2019 was 60.6 and for August 2018 was 61.9.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for August 2020 stood at 56.1; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 50.9; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 51.3; and Prices were 57.6.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of August 2020 is 64.6; Employment 59.9; Inventories 52.4; Supplier Deliveries 51.4; and Prices 56.4.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of July 2020 stood at 68.5. The corresponding figure for July 2019 was 54.2 and for July 2018 was 61.8. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for July 2020 stood at 57.6; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 61.7; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 50.1; and Prices were 60.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
