Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of April 2020 stood at 22.8. The corresponding figure for April 2019 was 55.9 and for April 2018 was 71.5.

The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for April 2020 stood at 22.9; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 34.5; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 18.2; and Prices were 51.2.

The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of April 2020 is 23.6; Employment 23.3; Inventories 34.2; Supplier Deliveries 19.3; and Prices 54.1. 

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of March 2020 stood at 26.0. The corresponding figure for March 2019 was 54.3 and for March 2018 was 59.8. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for March 2020 stood at 26.8; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 33.6; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 17.7; and Prices were 57.3.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”

A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
