Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of February 2020 stood at 54.1. The corresponding figure for February 2019 was 50.6 and for February 2018 was 59.6.

The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for February 2020 stood at 54.7; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 53.3; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 41.8; and Prices were 56.6.

The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of February 2020 is 53.2; Employment 52.1; Inventories 51.8; Supplier Deliveries 40.0; and Prices 58.8. 

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of January 2020 stood at 57.3. The corresponding figure for January 2019 was 54.7 and for January 2018 was 55.2. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for January 2020 stood at 51.3; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 50.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 52.7; and Prices were 60.7.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”

A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
