The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of June 2020 stood at 58.2. The corresponding figure for June 2019 was 52.4 and for June 2018 was 63.1.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for June 2020 stood at 52.8; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 61.8; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 53.4; and Prices were 56.4.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of June 2020 is 62.9; Employment 55.4; Inventories 63.3; Supplier Deliveries 54.3; and Prices 55.6.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of May 2020 stood at 39.1. The corresponding figure for May 2019 was 55.9 and for May 2018 was 62.5. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for May 2020 stood at 41.9; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 46.8; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 37.7; and Prices were 54.9.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
