Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of December 2019 stood at 51.9. The corresponding figure for December 2018 was 59.7 and for December 2017 was 60.4.

The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for December 2019 stood at 51.4; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 52.5; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 49.3; and Prices were 59.5.

The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of December 2019 is 43.6; Employment 47.6; Inventories 45.5; Supplier Deliveries 45.1; and Prices 56.5. 

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of November 2019 stood at 60.0. The corresponding figure for November 2018 was 57.2 and for November 2017 was 63.0. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for November 2019 stood at 50.3; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 59.1; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 52.7; and Prices were 54.9.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”

A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
