The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of January 2020 stood at 57.3. The corresponding figure for January 2019 was 54.7 and for January 2018 was 55.2.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for January 2020 stood at 51.3; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 50.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 52.7; and Prices were 60.7.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of January 2020 is 51.1; Employment 46.0; Inventories 49.3; Supplier Deliveries 49.4; and Prices 64.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of December 2019 stood at 51.9. The corresponding figure for December 2018 was 59.7 and for December 2017 was 60.4. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for December 2019 stood at 51.4; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 52.5; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 49.3; and Prices were 59.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
