The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of July 2020 stood at 68.5. The corresponding figure for July 2019 was 54.2 and for July 2018 was 61.8.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for July 2020 stood at 57.6; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 61.7; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 50.1; and Prices were 60.5.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of July 2020 is 65.2; Employment 57.6; Inventories 58.6; Supplier Deliveries 48.4; and Prices 59.2.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of June 2020 stood at 58.2. The corresponding figure for June 2019 was 52.4 and for June 2018 was 63.1. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for June 2020 stood at 52.8; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 61.8; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 53.4; and Prices were 56.4.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
