The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of July 2019 stood at 54.2. The corresponding figure for July 2018 was 61.8 and for July 2017 was 60.0.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for July 2019 stood at 56.6; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 46.9; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 46.0; and Prices were 59.2.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of July 2019 is 51.2; Employment 55.5; Inventories 45.3; Supplier Deliveries 44.2; and Prices 56.9.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of June 2019 stood at 52.4. The corresponding figure for June 2018 was 63.1 and for June 2017 was 61.6. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for June 2019 stood at 52.7; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 50.9; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 48.9; and Prices were 55.0.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
