The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of June 2019 stood at 52.4. The corresponding figure for June 2018 was 63.1 and for June 2017 was 61.6.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for June 2019 stood at 52.7; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 50.9; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 48.9; and Prices were 55.0.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of June 2019 is 53.7; Employment 54.9; Inventories 52.1; Supplier Deliveries 48.7; and Prices 54.4.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of May 2019 stood at 55.9. The corresponding figure for May 2018 was 62.5 and for May 2017 was 53.8. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for May 2019 stood at 55.1; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 53.1; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 52.4; and Prices were 59.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
