The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of May 2019 stood at 55.9. The corresponding figure for May 2018 was 62.5 and for May 2017 was 53.8.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for May 2019 stood at 55.1; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 53.1; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 52.4; and Prices were 59.5.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of May 2019 is 61.8; Employment 59.4; Inventories 55.3; Supplier Deliveries 53.0; and Prices 59.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of April 2019 stood at 55.9. The corresponding figure for April 2018 was 71.5 and for April 2017 was 62.4. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for April 2019 stood at 53.7; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 46.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 48.7; and Prices were 58.9
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
