The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of April 2019 stood at 55.9. The corresponding figure for April 2018 was 71.5 and for April 2017 was 62.4.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for April 2019 stood at 53.7; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 46.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 48.7; and Prices were 58.9.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of April 2019 is 56.7; Employment 54.5; Inventories 47.4; Supplier Deliveries 50.6; and Prices 62.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of March 2019 stood at 54.3. The corresponding figure for March 2018 was 59.8 and for March 2017 was 61.1. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for March 2019 stood at 54.5; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 47.8; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 46.2; and Prices were 58.7.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
