The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of February 2019 stood at 50.6. The corresponding figure for February 2018 was 59.6 and for February 2017 was 55.0.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for February 2019 stood at 53.2; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 52.2; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 51.9; and Prices were 59.8.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of February 2019 is 48.9; Employment 51.1; Inventories 50.6; Supplier Deliveries 50.0; and Prices 62.6.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of January 2019 stood at 54.7. The corresponding figure for January 2018 was 55.2 and for January 2017 was 57.2. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for January 2019 stood at 51.8; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 53.6; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 41.7; and Prices were 57.4.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
