The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of November 2019 stood at 60.0. The corresponding figure for November 2018 was 57.2 and for November 2017 was 63.0.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for November 2019 stood at 50.3; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 59.1; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 52.7; and Prices were 54.9.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of November 2019 is 58.4; Employment 49.4; Inventories 58.8; Supplier Deliveries 50.6; and Prices 53.1.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of October 2019 stood at 48.2. The corresponding figure for October 2018 was 61.8 and for October 2017 was 63.8.The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for October 2019 stood at 47.2; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 45.6; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 45.1; and Prices were 57.0.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
