The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of May 2018 stood at 62.5. The corresponding figure for May 2017 was 53.8 and for May 2016 was 49.4.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for May 2018 stood at 61.2; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 55.0; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 48.7; and Prices were 64.4.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of May 2018 is 69.5; Employment 64.9; Inventories 57.4; Supplier Deliveries 48.6; and Prices 65.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of April 2018 stood at 71.5. The corresponding figure for April 2017 was 62.4 and for April 2016 was 53.1.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for April 2018 stood at 57.0; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 52.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 48.3; and Prices were 67.8.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
