The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of March 2018 stood at 59.8. The corresponding figure for March 2017 was 61.1 and for March 2016 was 50.1.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for March 2018 stood at 60.6; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 54.3; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 48.6; and Prices were 60.0.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of March 2018 is 64.7; Employment 59.6; Inventories 56.8; Supplier Deliveries 50.7; and Prices 63.3.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of February 2018 stood at 59.6. The corresponding figure for February 2017 was 55.0 and for February 2016 was 53.4. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for February stood at 52.4; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 52.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 53.7; and Prices were 64.2.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
