The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of February 2018 stood at 59.6. The corresponding figure for February 2017 was 55.0 and for February 2016 was 53.4.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for February 2018 stood at 52.4; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 52.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 53.7; and Prices were 64.2.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of February 2018 is 58.4; Employment 51.3; Inventories 51.5; Supplier Deliveries 51.4; and Prices 68.2.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of January 2018 stood at 55.2. The corresponding figure for January 2017 was 57.2 and for January 2016 was 66.0. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for January stood at 56.5; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 58.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 46.4; and Prices were 66.6.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
