The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of August 2017 stood at 56.3. The corresponding figure for August 2016 was 52.3 and for August 2015 was 58.0.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for August stood at 55.9. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 57.1; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 47.6; and Prices were 59.9.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of August is 56.8; Employment 56.8; Inventories 56.5; Supplier Deliveries 47.5; and Prices 60.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of July 2017 stood at 60.0. The corresponding figure for July 2016 was 57.0 and for June 2015 was 52.9. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for July stood at 52.6. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 55.8; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 46.2; and Prices were 69.2.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
