The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of April 2017 stood at 62.4. The corresponding figure for April 2016 was 53.1 and for April 2015 was 58.2.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for April stood at 53.7. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 46.5; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 49.1; and Prices were 70.9.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of April is 58.5; Employment 54.8; Inventories 51.2; Supplier Deliveries 49.4; and Prices 66.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of March 2017 stood at 61.1. The corresponding figure for March 2016 was 50.1 and for March 2015 was 47.9. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for March stood at 53.9. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 61.7; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 49.9; and Prices were 57.0.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
