The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of March 2017 stood at 61.1. The corresponding figure for March 2016 was 50.1 and for March 2015 was 47.9.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for March stood at 53.9. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 61.7; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 49.9; and Prices were 57.0.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of March is 67.6; Employment 53.2; Inventories 61.6; Supplier Deliveries 51.7; and Prices 63.0.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of February 2017 stood at 55.0. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for February stood at 54.5. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 51.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 45.9; and Prices were 61.1.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
