The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of February 2017 stood at 55.0. The corresponding figure for February 2016 was 53.4 and for February 2015 was 49.7.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for February stood at 54.5. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 51.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 45.9; and Prices were 61.1.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of February is 55.1; Employment 53.4; Inventories 51.3; Supplier Deliveries 44.6; and Prices 61.2.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of January 2017 stood at 57.2. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for January stood at 53.5. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 46.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 46.6; and Prices were 70.1.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
