The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of October 2017 stood at 63.8. The corresponding figure for October 2016 was 59.7 and for October 2015 was 53.1.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for October stood at 52.0. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 58.2; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 45.9; and Prices were 59.0.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of October is 63.5; Employment 52.8; Inventories 59.5; Supplier Deliveries 47.6; and Prices 58.7.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of September 2017 stood at 59.6. The corresponding figure for September 2016 was 58.4 and for September 2015 was 53.8. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for September stood at 59.4. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 52.8; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 48.5; and Prices were 52.4.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
