The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of December 2016 stood at 60.8. The corresponding figure for December 2015 was 49.9 and for December 2014 was 55.4.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for December stood at 51.7. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 54.1; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 45.9; and Prices were 73.8.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of December is 49.4; Employment 48.8; Inventories 47.4; Supplier Deliveries 43.8; and Prices 60.0
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of November 2016 stood at 56.8. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for November stood at 58.0. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 47.2; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 50.1; and Prices were 60.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
