The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of August 2016 stood at 52.3 The corresponding figure for August 2015 was 58.0 and for August 2014 was 50.9.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for August stood at 46.9. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 61.2, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 46.1 and Prices were 56.7.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of August is 53.8, Employment 48.9, Inventories 58.0, Supplier Deliveries 47.1 and Prices 57.1.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of July 2016 stood at 57.0. The corresponding figure for July 2015 was 52.9 and for July 2014 was 54.1. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for July stood at 59.5. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 55.4, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 44.7 and Prices were 57.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
