Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of July 2016 stood at 57.0. The corresponding figure for July 2015 was 52.9 and for July 2014 was 54.1.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for July stood at 59.5. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 55.4, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 44.7 and Prices were 57.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of June 2016 stood at 51.7. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for June stood at 52.5. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 55.1, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 47.3 and Prices were 59.7.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of July is 49.4, Employment 59.1, Inventories 52.2, Supplier Deliveries 44.4 and Prices 53.9.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
