Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of June 2016 stood at 51.7. The corresponding figure for June 2015 was 55.9 and for June 2014 was 46.9.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for June stood at 52.5. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 55.1, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 47.3 and Prices were 59.7.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of June is 54.7, Employment 54.8, Inventories 53.7, Supplier Deliveries 48.9 and Prices 56.0.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of May 2016 stood at 49.4. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for May stood at 49.3. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 49.6, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 53.3 and Prices were 63.1.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
