Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of April 2016 stood at 53.1. The corresponding figure for April 2015 was 58.2 and for April 2014 was 54.1.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for April stood at 49.9. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 52.3, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 46.8 and Prices were 53.9.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of April is 50.6, Employment 51.3, Inventories 57.2, Supplier Deliveries 48.7 and Prices 55.1.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of March 2016 stood at 50.1. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for March stood at 50.7. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 48.6, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 48.5 and Prices were 58.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
