Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of March 2015 stood at 47.9. The corresponding figure for March 2014 was 55.2 and for March 2013 was 61.6.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for March stood at 45.1. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 57.9, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 45.0 and Prices were 59.5.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of March is 56.0, Employment 46.2, Inventories 56.4, Supplier Deliveries 47.6 and Prices 64.2.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
