  • Learn to approach business decisions in a logical, quantitative, and systematic way.
  • Build and deploy innovation-centric and empathic-design strategies using data and mathematic models.
  • Apply appropriate quantitative and analytical methods from the field of analytics to analyze information, analyze complex and large data sets, and develop predictive and prescriptive models.
  • Explore a variety of tools and programming languages including R, Python, SQL, XAMPP, Gurobi or CPLEX, AnyLogic, PHP, MongoDB, Tableau.
  • Learn basic computer programming to manipulate data and construct models.
  • Identify a problem and formulate a conceptual model to represent the problem.
  • Understand large-scale applications of analytics across a wide variety of industries.
  • Integrate material from field courses with skills gained in other courses to address enterprise-wide opportunities.
  • Present results in technical and non-technical terms to different stakeholders.
  • Develop teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills.

The Master of Management in Analytics Program curriculum consists of 19 courses across three terms. The careful sequencing of the individual classes, courses, and term themes are designed to build on one another to deliver a powerful and unique learning experience.

Term 1 – Management Analytics Foundations (September-December)

The first term will provide students with business fundamentals and develop a deeper understanding of leadership and data management.

Term 2 – Advanced Management Analytics (January-May)

The second term will focus on the rise of big data analytics and the widespread of data-driven decision-making. Students will learn to approach business decisions in a logical, quantitative, and systematic way using predictive models and simulations.

Term 3 – Specialized Modules (June-August)

Third-term courses will address important emerging topics such as artificial intelligence, financial analytics, social media analytics, and revenue management.

Ivey Field Project

You will complete a project involving an analytics problem, analytics implementation, or analytics strategy, either in your own organization or in a participating organization. This experience will allow you to directly apply your learnings and use data to solve real-world business problems.
