Size of shipment: 10 pallets, 500 boxes, weighing 21,600 pounds / 10 tons
Contributors to the shipment: Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor and Ivey School of Business
Faculty and students at Ivey and other institutions donated over 500 boxes of educational material. After sorting, 480 were shipped to the University of Chittagong in Bangladesh, as part of the 39 Country Initiative. Thank you to Professor Md Helal Uddin Nizami, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at University of Chittagong for coordinating the safe arrival of the shipment and furthering the reach of the 39 Country Initiative in Bangladesh. Special thanks to Peter Voyer at the University of Windsor for over 100 boxes of books and his team of volunteers, as well as to Sean Chen, John Mihalo at University of Windsor and visiting Professor Lucas Wang, Melissa Judson, Romel Mostafa and Stephanie Scanlan and the many volunteers at the Ivey Business School. Prof. Aiyub Islam, former Chairman, Department of Accounting; Prof. Sahed Bin Sadik of the same Department & other staffs, University of Chittagong along with the Dean Nazimi were at the port to receive the shipment.
