39 Country Initiative

39 Country Initiative

Business cases are one of the most powerful building blocks of management education. Ivey has taken a definitive step to make cases more accessible in the least developed countries around the world. University faculty members in 46 countries with per capita GDP of less than $2,000 USD a year can use all cases from Ivey Publishing’s catalogue of more than 7,300 cases, exercises and technical notes at no charge.  To date, over 2,000 professors in the eligible countries have registered for access.

The interactive map below shows the originating locations and receiving institutions for the seven book shipments made to date, the book collection nodes involved in the 39 Country Initiative, and the locations awaiting shipment.

We would like to thank the Academy of International Business (AIB) for providing for container shipping costs, and broadening awareness of the 39 Country Initiative via the AIB website.

Business schools from around the world are encouraged to collect books, journals, course packs/readings/cases for shipment to an institution in one of the eligible 46 countries. There are currently 23 collection nodes in four continents. To date, shipments have gone to Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania (2), Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
