Every year, hundreds of students apply to Ivey with dreams of accessing the transformative power of the Ivey Experience. However, some face significant barriers to achieving them. At Ivey, we see a future where the barriers are removed for the best and brightest students to access the same Ivey education that has set over 30,000 alumni on their paths.

When you establish a scholarship, you’re recognizing academic excellence, enabling Ivey to attract the most exceptional students, and encouraging students to reach their full potential regardless of their background.
As Ivey works to enhance student support generally, more scholarships and scholarships and grants of higher amounts are an important part of this strategy that donors can support. More full-ride scholarships and grants that help cover living expenses will allow more students with financial needs to enroll, secure in the knowledge that they can afford to complete the program. Additional AEO scholarships will provide security for students from the moment they receive an offer from Western, knowing they will be supported when they make it to Ivey.
The unique Ivey experience is a shared experience of all Ivey alumni. Through your support, you’re not only creating a personal legacy, you’re also opening the door to the transformative power of the Ivey experience for the next generation of leaders.

In an ideal scenario, no qualified applicants would need to decline an admission offer because of lack of access to scholarships and awards. You can help Ivey reach this goal by becoming a scholarship donor today. Alumni may want to support an existing class scholarship in honour of their graduation year. You can also create a named scholarship starting with an investment of $5,000 annually over five years for an expendable award or $25,000 annually over five years for an endowed award. Endowed scholarships create a lasting legacy, with the principal invested and a portion of the returns awarded each year with the remainder reinvested to help the scholarship grow over time and exist in perpetuity. Expendable scholarships provide funds for a limited time but provide immediate support for current and incoming Ivey students. We’ll work with you to establish criteria that are most meaningful to you and the most impactful for our students.

Impactful research is a key pillar of Ivey’s mission, and advancing and amplifying world-class research, with particular emphasis on confronting critical issues facing business and society, is a high-priority goal in the Ivey Next strategic plan. Research that addresses critical issues helps advance the School’s aim to be the place where academics, businesses, and governments come to understand and address these issues. We are fostering a community where everyone is empowered to research and engage on important issues in the world. Donor investment drives the research ecosystem at Ivey to new heights by providing the School with the flexibility to invest in emerging areas of research as they arise to bring Ivey’s strategy to life.

Ivey’s researchers are thought leaders in many areas. The School also excels in several focused areas of research and policy, clusters of excellence that have led to the establishment of nine Centres and Institutes housing our world-class developmental research by topic. We are encouraging collaborative research on critical issues and stimulating knowledge creation by adding research faculty and providing flexibility for faculty to pursue ambitious research. We’re also adding support to make sure the insights gained through Ivey researchers are disseminated to learners and practitioners who can apply this knowledge in the field.

Ivey’s highly qualified research and teaching faculty —  who provide the intellectual capital that drives our research success — are in high demand from other business schools and the commercial sector. The School requires substantial support to recruit and maintain these scholars and to advance their important research.

A range of opportunities at varying levels of investment exist to support the research ecosystem, including support for activities such as research Chairs, post-doctoral fellows, teaching scholars, student research fellows, case writing, and outreach to help ensure our research is shared to have the greatest impact. Through our Centres and Institutes, you can also support topic-specific scholarships and awards, and academic offerings such as certificate and diploma programs.

Through the Ivey Fund, donors provide support for the School’s highest-priority needs to help it stay competitive on the world stage. Gifts to the Ivey Fund give the Dean the flexibility to respond to emerging priorities and opportunities as they arise. When you invest in the Ivey fund,  you are providing the means for the School to remain nimble and respond to the changing needs of students, faculty, and our alumni. Some examples of the types of things that donations to the Ivey Fund might enable include:

• Support for student scholarships and awards;
• Top-ranked Career Management programming to help Ivey students with the resources needed to navigate their career paths;
