Kun Huo (CPA, CA) is an Assistant Professor of Managerial Accounting and Control at the Ivey Business School. He holds a BBA in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University and is working to complete his PhD in Accounting at University of Waterloo. He earned his CA designation in 2010 working full time at Grant Thornton LLP. His industry experiences include the audit of manufacturing and distribution companies.

Kun is interested in research about how accounting information and performance measurement systems affect employee’s motivation and ability to complete complex judgment and creative tasks. He uses a combination of economic and psychology-based theories to explore employee behaviours in organizational settings. Over the course of his PhD, he received a number of competitive awards such as the Ontario Graduate Scholarships and the American Accounting Association Doctoral Fellowship.
