Eric is a faculty member at the Ivey Business School in the Entrepreneurship Area Group, as well as the Executive Director of the Ivey New Venture Project. Eric’s teaching lies at the intersection of sales, strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation. In 2020, he received the David G. Burgoyne Teaching Award for outstanding impact as an instructor.
Prior to teaching at Ivey, Eric spent many years in the private sector as a founder or early-stage employee in several venture-backed, high-growth companies. Eric continues to be active in industry as a Limited Partner at Stage 2 Capital and a direct investor and advisor to several start-ups. He also works as a consultant to startups, corporations, as well as charities and non-profits in the areas of growth strategy, sales, management, and go-to-market.
Eric is a graduate of Ivey’s HBA and MBA programs. He has been featured in Fast Company, BNN Bloomberg, The Globe and Mail, and The Ivey Business Journal for his sales expertise and entrepreneurial ventures.
