At Ivey, we embrace learning as an interactive experience. Rather than lecturing, your faculty facilitators will guide the group through hands-on activities, discussions, cases, simulations, and more. To get the most value from your learning experience, you should expect to be present and engaged in class sessions. To learn more, click here to visit our Learning Experience page.
We strive to make our learning experiences accessible for all. Please get in touch with your Program Manager, or our Learning Advisors, at any time before or during your program with questions or information about your accommodations needs. We are happy to work with you to provide individualized accommodations that enable your best learning experience.
Online programs are delivered through a blend of live interactive virtual sessions with Ivey faculty facilitators and self-paced learning modules. Each module guides you through videos, cases, and exercises that help you prepare for and reflect on your learning. You’ll then participate in a live online class to discuss and apply your new knowledge with peers and faculty. All components of virtual programs are required for participants.
Our Program Managers will contact all registered participants before the program start date with instructions to join our online Learning Management System. Once logged in, you can create a class profile, view other participants’ profiles, and access a list of assigned pre-readings, cases, and activities. Plan to review and complete preparation work in advance of each class session.
Program attendance requires your full focus and commitment during class sessions. Regular breaks are provided for meals and refreshments, though we encourage you to dedicate time away from work to immerse yourself within your program.
To maximize the group learning experience, all participants must attend all program sessions and activities, including group work, virtual classes, and coaching sessions. Participants should arrange with their teams and leaders to block time away from work. Scheduled social events are also highly recommended!
Most of our program materials are delivered in paperless digital format. We recommend bringing a laptop or tablet to class sessions.
All participants are expected to attend and participate in virtual sessions during scheduled times. These sessions are live and highly interactive, requiring your full attention. We also recommend that you plan to turn your web camera on as much as possible during virtual sessions.
Select 'Apply Now' on the program page and choose your preferred start date. Submit the program application form and select a payment method. A program advisor may contact you to discuss your eligibility for the program. Once your application is approved, you will be billed directly or receive an invoice. Payment of program fees is due within 30 days of receipt of invoice and no less than 15 days before the program start date.
In most cases, program applications must be received no later than 14 days before the start of a program. This ensures time for our team to provide all necessary support and materials to participants in advance and allows participants sufficient time to complete pre-reading and preparatory work.
Organizations and participants in Canada may benefit from the Canada Job Grant or the Canada Training Credit to offset a portion of program fees. Visit our Funding Resources page to learn more.
The program fee covers program materials, meals, and hotel accommodations for sessions at Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre or Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Program sessions offered in Toronto and Calgary include program materials, breakfast, and lunch; participants are responsible for accommodations and meals outside of program hours. Program fees are tax-exempt.
Preferred rates are available for Ivey program participants at the Hilton Toronto (145 Richmond St. W.) and Revery Toronto Downtown (92 Peter St.). Please contact our Learning Advisors for more information, or your Program Manager for instructions on booking with the Ivey preferred rate.
Seats in programs may be reserved for a limited time, pending availability. Contact a program advisor to request a reservation. A program application must then be confirmed within 15 business days and no less than 30 days before the program start date.
Programs are offered throughout the year in Calgary, Banff, London, Toronto, and online. Contact us to receive a notification of new dates for specific programs.

If you are looking for a program that you can coast through with little effort, then this is not that program. The faculty is some of the best that you can find anywhere and they actually care. The case study method is a refreshing way to learn. Real companies and real leaders in real situations! Wow! You get to analyze, debate and fully discuss all options available in the situation and then determine the best course of action. Be warned, there are twists and turns along the way!
